Little Black Rocks

I just happened to have a few napkins, scrapbook paper, a canvas, paint, glue and other things lying around, so I thought why not make a painting of it all?

Actually I got an order from a customer who wanted a painting by me, size 50×61 centimeters. He gave me 30 days and free hands to create anything I’d like.

I went through my banana box of napkins, my pizza boxes of scrapbook paper and found all of this:

clouiseemscrapbook paper (from Graphic 45 and Kaisercraft)

clouiseemThis is a bag you get when you buy exotic snacks. I love exotic snacks and I love the design of the bag! It’s a map over India and because of the sandy color it fits just perfect as a desert.

clouiseemDecoupage glue, brushes, paint and varnish.
I use the small brush for gluing and the large one for the varnish afterwards.

I painted the canvas and put all the paper and napkins together and – voilà!

This is how the painting turned out and, luckily, the customer was very satisfied!

It’s called ‘Little Black Rocks’ and reflects (to me) a story about life and time, and the things you never got to experience before the life was taken away; the loneliness and the longing for those cherry blossoms to bloom again, yet a bit of hope and the reminiscing of sweet memories shared.

Kul att se beställningstavlan till slut, inte ett dugg överraskad iofs… men fan vad nice den blev!
