Christmas box!

Hello!

For my dad this Christmas I got a book by one of his favorite writers, Henning Mankell. All he wished for this Christmas was books so it’s not really a surprise what he’ll get from all of us…. :/ But I thought I’d pimp up a box to put this book in, to make it more exciting!

So I went out looking for an old shoe box and found one in a size that the book would fit perfectly in. I used green mottled scrapbook paper on the top, the front, the back and half the sides of the box. On the rest of the box I used dark brown paper. I’ve rubbed with the black ink pad on all edges of the box to make it look like something you’d find at a flea market or in the attic.

The size of this box is 29,5 x 19,5 x 10,5 cm.

On the top of the lid I glued a few different paper cut outs; watches, a pen, a piece of paper, tiny calendars etc, as you can see on the picture. The letters A, T, O and M are my dad’s initials. I added them to make it more personal. And if you look really closely at the calendar on the left (March) you’ll see I’ve highlighted the 7th with red color. That’s his birthday ;)

Hope he’ll like it!
