Finished project: We’ll Sail The Seven Seas

Hi!

Sorry it’s been a while again. I’ve been so busy catching up with family and friends since I moved back to my home town. But I do have a picture of my latest effort (i.e. a  new painting.)

Before I moved back I was living on an island outside the east coast of Sweden. It’s called Gotland and is very pretty. I lived there for ten months when I studied Computer Graphics Animation in the town called Visby. I really loved the city and the whole island so it’s a bit sad to have left it now. But I’m sure it’s not for ever. The reason I’m telling you this is because

a) it’s very interesting.
b) I made this latest painting to the couple I rented a place from on this beautiful island.

They were very nice to me and they said they wanted a painting by me so, well, I made one!

A few requests they had was that they wanted their house and little cat on the painting. Apart from that I got free hands.

I thought of an island/ocean theme and came up with this:

And the final painting:

We’ll Sail The Seven Seas

Made on a canvas size 50×70 cm, using three different kinds of napkins, two different scrapbook paper, yellow, green blue and black paint, a teabag wrapper from Four O’clock (the ship!) a recycled piece of paper (which I drew the house on) a small sticker (the cat), brushes, glue and of course a canvas!

They said they were very pleased with it and so am I :)
